The Coast Guard House Restaurant established itself in the 1940s and is revered for serving locally harvested seafood. Offering a stunning & unrivaled view of The Pier Districts' historic Narragansett Bay, The Coast Guard House has attracted family and friends for generations.
We are located at the corners of South Pier Road and Ocean Road at Narragansett’s State Pier No. 5. What use to be a bait & tackle shop is now one of the best places to grab lobster rolls and clam cakes, and enjoy 360 views of the bay while you eat.
The White Horse Tavern is the “oldest operating restaurant in the U.S.” and is acknowledged as the 10th oldest in the world. No building is believed to be more typical of colonial Newport than the White Horse Tavern, with its clapboard walls, gambrel roof and plain pediment doors bordering the sidewalk.
A must go-to for homemade bagels & pastries, and great coffee. We don't go to Narragansett without stopping her for breakfast at least once. If you're a chai lover, I can personally vouch for their chai lattes, SO good!
West’s Bakery is a family bakery. It goes back to 1950. If you do one thing while you're in Rhode Island, go to West's and get their famous Bismarks; doughnut pastry, raspberry jam, and cream will change your life!! Get a dozen and you can thank us later!
Scarborough, Roger Wheeler, and Salty Brine Beaches are all conveniently located in Narragansett and provide so many amenities & beautiful views. Parking costs a small fee but the atmosphere is well worth it!

Whether you're fishing, walking, or just taking in the views, The Wall along Ocean Drive in Narragansett is the perfect place to spend a couple hours outside.
Plan to spend a minimum of 2.5 hours if you wish to walk the entire length of the trail round trip. There are plenty of places to stop and appreciate the scenic beauty of the cliffs and ocean and pause to admire the many historic Newport mansions perched on the ocean's edge along the way.
Hazard Avenue, Newton Avenue, and Bass Rock Road are some of the best places to access the rocks, with amazing views of the Narragansett Bay.
